What should I do before using the new machine for the first time?
What should I do before using the new machine for the first time?
Before first use, remove and rinse the water tank, milk carafe, brew unit, and milk frother. Make sure the water tank, milk tube, milk frother, brew unit, grounds container, internal drip tray, and external drip tray are all properly installed. Fill the water tank to the MAX line and add coffee beans to the bean hopper, up to 180 g / 6.3 oz. For a new machine, we recommend starting with a grind setting no lower than level 8. Each time the machine starts, it will run an automatic cleaning cycle to prepare the system for use.
How do I adjust the grind size?
How do I adjust the grind size?
For first-time use, we recommend setting the grinder no lower than level 8. The adjustable grind range is from 1, the finest, to 15, the coarsest. The number indicated by the grinder adjustment knob is the actual selected grind level. Adjust only one level at a time to avoid damaging the grinder.
How do I adjust the coffee volume, or coffee-to-water ratio?

Why is the coffee flowing very slowly or only dripping?
Why is the coffee flowing very slowly or only dripping?
This is usually caused by the grind being too fine. Turn the grind setting one level coarser counterclockwise, then test again. If the flow is still very slow, the coffee outlet or powder chute may be clogged. First, gently clear the coffee outlet with a toothpick, then run the powder chute cleaning process.
Why is no coffee coming out at all?
Why is no coffee coming out at all?
First check whether the coffee outlet is blocked, and gently clear it with a toothpick if needed. If the machine grinds beans but no coffee comes out, dark oily beans or damp beans may have clogged the powder chute. Press and hold the “Bean-emptying” button and the “Espresso” button at the same time to enter powder chute cleaning mode. Use the cleaning brush to loosen built-up coffee grounds in the chute, then press the same button combination again to exit.
Why does the coffee come out too quickly with very thin crema?
Why does the coffee come out too quickly with very thin crema?
This is usually caused by a grind that is too coarse, or coffee beans that are not ideal for espresso extraction. Turn the grind setting one level finer clockwise and use beans suitable for espresso when possible. Adjust only one level at a time, then brew 1-2 cups to check the result.

Why is the machine very loud, or why does it make a sharp rubbing noise?
Why is the machine very loud, or why does it make a sharp rubbing noise?
Some operating noise during grinding and brewing is normal. If the sound suddenly becomes noticeably abnormal, or if you hear sharp rubbing, scraping, or unusual noises, stop using the machine. Clean the removable grinder components according to the manual. If the noise continues, please contact customer support. We do not recommend disassembling the machine yourself.
Why can’t I remove the brew unit?
Why can’t I remove the brew unit?
The machine may not have been shut down correctly, so the brew unit did not return to its home position. Turn the machine off and then back on, allowing the brew unit to reset automatically before trying to remove it again. If it still cannot be removed, there may be a blockage or component issue. Please contact customer support.
Why does the machine grind beans but no coffee comes out?
Why does the machine grind beans but no coffee comes out?
The powder chute may be clogged. Common causes include dark-roast oily beans with too much surface oil, or damp coffee beans. Follow the powder chute cleaning instructions above, and avoid continuing to use beans that are heavily oily or damp.
Why is the coffee not hot enough?
Why is the coffee not hot enough?
First make sure the machine has finished preheating and the corresponding function indicator light is solid before brewing. We also recommend preheating your cup with hot water. If the descaling reminder is showing, if your local water is hard, or if the water flow has slowed, run the descaling process. If the temperature is still abnormal after descaling, please contact customer support.
How do I clean the outside of the machine?
How do I clean the outside of the machine?
Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use alcohol, solvents, steel wool, or abrasive cleaning tools, as they may scratch or damage the surface.
Why are the coffee grounds very wet, with lots of water and loose grounds in the drip tray instead of a dry puck?
Why are the coffee grounds very wet, with lots of water and loose grounds in the drip tray instead of a dry puck?
This model does not include a separate grounds-and-water separation system. Some wet grounds, loose grounds, and water in the drip tray can be normal and does not necessarily indicate a malfunction.
Why don’t the coffee grounds form a solid puck?
Why don’t the coffee grounds form a solid puck?
This can vary depending on the type and roast level of the coffee beans. If the grounds are loose and there is more water in the grounds container, the grind may be too fine. Try setting the grind one level coarser. This automatic coffee machine uses a horizontal compression extraction structure. Because a small amount of liquid can remain after horizontal extraction, and the puck is pushed out automatically after brewing, it is normal for some grounds to be loose or not fully puck-shaped.
How should I choose the grind setting?
How should I choose the grind setting?
For first use, start around levels 8-10. Then fine-tune gradually based on taste: if the coffee tastes too sour, adjust finer; if it tastes too bitter, adjust coarser. When switching to a new type of beans, we recommend clearing the remaining beans first, then selecting an appropriate grind level based on the roast level of the new beans. Adjust only one level at a time to avoid damage.
Do you have personalized grind recommendations for different beans or seasons?
Do you have personalized grind recommendations for different beans or seasons?
Yes. For seasonal fine-tuning: in colder winter conditions, light-roast beans may need to be adjusted one level finer, for example from 4 to 3, to compensate for under-extraction caused by lower temperatures. In humid summer conditions, dark-roast beans may need to be adjusted one level coarser, for example from 11 to 12, to help prevent moisture from causing grounds to clump and slow the flow. For blended beans: for a light + medium roast blend, start around level 7. If the acidity is too strong, move one level toward the darker-roast side. For a medium + dark roast blend, start around level 9, and increase the coffee amount by about 1 g if you want a fuller body.
Can I adjust the coffee and milk volume?
Can I adjust the coffee and milk volume?
Yes. You can freely adjust the coffee strength and milk ratio. While coffee or milk is dispensing, press and hold the drink button for 2 seconds. After you hear a beep and the corresponding drink icon starts flashing, release the button when the desired amount is reached. After the drink cycle finishes, the coffee and milk volume settings will be saved. Espresso volume range: 30-100 ml / 1.0-3.4 fl oz. Double coffee volume range: 30-100 ml x 2. Americano volume range: 110-180 ml / 3.7-6.1 fl oz. Milk dispensing range: 10-40 seconds.
Why isn’t the coffee extraction as strong as I expected?
Why isn’t the coffee extraction as strong as I expected?
Coffee strength is affected by the beans, grind size, and extraction time. You can adjust the grind size and extraction time to better match your taste. This coffee machine cannot directly adjust the coffee-to-water ratio, so we recommend improving the result by changing the grind setting or choosing a different type of coffee beans.
Why is the bean-emptying button or another button not responding well?
Why is the bean-emptying button or another button not responding well?
The bean-emptying function is designed to require a press-and-hold action for more than 1 second to help prevent accidental operation and wasted beans. Other buttons are short-press buttons. Wet fingers or moisture on the control panel may affect short-press response. Wipe the panel and your hands dry, then try again.
Why are the hot water and cleaning indicators flashing at the same time?
Why are the hot water and cleaning indicators flashing at the same time?
This is the descaling reminder. When the hot water function and manual cleaning function indicator lights flash at the same time, the machine needs to be descaled, usually after about 500 cups of coffee. Descaling method: 1. Add water and household descaler to the water tank at a water-to-descaler ratio of 4:1. Do not exceed the MAX line. Citric acid may also be used instead of descaler at a water-to-citric-acid ratio of 100:3. 2. Place a cup on the cup tray. Press the hot water function and manual cleaning function buttons for 1 second to enter the descaling process. 3. The descaling program lasts about 10 minutes. The descaling indicator will remain on, and the 8 function indicators will slowly flash from left to right. 4. After descaling is complete, the flashing hot water and manual cleaning indicators will turn off.
Why does the machine keep entering cleaning mode?
Why does the machine keep entering cleaning mode?
Automatic cleaning: When the machine is powered on from off, standby, or sleep mode after being idle for more than 28 minutes, it will enter automatic cleaning. This rinses small amounts of coffee and milk residue from the internal lines so the next coffee or milk drink tastes fresh. Manual cleaning: If the machine is used continuously, or if users have different taste preferences, you can manually select cleaning between drinks.
After installation, why does the control panel show the warning icon and the machine will not continue working?
After installation, why does the control panel show the warning icon and the machine will not continue working?
Recheck the installation of these four parts: the grinder knob, brew door, brew unit, and the right-side drip tray/grounds tray. Once they are correctly installed, the warning icon should disappear and the machine should resume operation.
Why does the left side of the machine get warm?
Why does the left side of the machine get warm?
The heating module is located in the lower-left area of the machine and includes two independent heating cores: one instant-heating system for coffee extraction and one steam heating system, or boiler, for milk frothing. During operation, the system can heat room-temperature water to 86-96°C / 187-205°F in a short time, so some residual warmth around the heating area is normal. The residual surface temperature remains below 60°C / 140°F. For safety, the machine is equipped with multiple temperature-control protections, including an NTC temperature sensor, thermostat, and thermal fuse. These safety systems help control temperature, prevent overheating, and support safe household use. The product has passed strict safety testing and meets household-use standards.
