Slow Juicer's FAQs

ZM1908 Slow Juicer FAQs

Can I add a large amount of produce all at once?

No. Adding too much produce at once, or feeding very hard ingredients too quickly, may cause a jam or put extra strain on the motor. Feed ingredients slowly and evenly so the juicer has enough time to process them.

What should I do if food gets stuck and the auger stops turning?

This can happen if the pieces are too large, too much food is added at once, or fibrous ingredients such as celery or spinach wrap around the auger. Turn the control knob to "REVERSE" and run it for 3-5 seconds to loosen the ingredients. Then switch back to the normal juicing mode and continue.

What should I do if ingredients are backed up in the feed chute?

Use the included food pusher to gently guide the ingredients down. Never put your fingers, chopsticks, or any other object into the feed chute or juice outlet. For future use, feed smaller amounts at a time and cut ingredients into smaller pieces when needed.

What should I know when juicing high-fiber ingredients?

Fibrous foods such as celery, ginger, and spinach can wrap around the auger or cause a jam. Add them in small batches and cut them into shorter pieces as needed. After processing these ingredients, run "REVERSE" for about 5 seconds to loosen the auger before disassembling the juicer for cleaning.

Can I put ingredients with hard pits, thick peels, or hard shells directly into the juicer?

No. Before juicing, remove any hard pits, thick peels, or hard shells as applicable. Take particular care when preparing plums, apricots, cherries, mangoes, grapes, persimmons, oranges, mandarins, lemons, and grapefruit to help prevent jams or damage to the juicer.

MP802 Slow Juicer FAQs

Why won't the juicer start after I plug it in?

The juicer has a safety interlock to help prevent accidental operation. Check the following:

1. Make sure the power plug is securely connected to a working electrical outlet.

2. Make sure the feed hopper handle is aligned with the slot on the motor base and fully locked into place. The juicer will not operate unless the safety lock is engaged.

3. Make sure the lid is fully closed. The juicer will not start until the lid is properly closed.

Why is juice leaking?

To help prevent leaks during juicing, check the following:

1. Press the internal rubber plug on the juice outlet assembly firmly into its slot.

2. Dispense the juice regularly during operation so the juicing chamber does not overfill and spill.

3. If any part is damaged or worn, contact Customer Support for a free replacement part.

Why can't I install or remove the feed hopper, or remove the juicing bowl after ingredients become jammed?

The juicer has a mechanical locking system that keeps the parts secure during operation. The feed hopper can be installed or removed only when the lid is open. Follow the alignment and lock marks on the juicing bowl.

If jammed ingredients prevent disassembly, turn the control knob to "REVERSE" for a few seconds to loosen them. You should then be able to remove the juicing bowl easily.

What should I do if the juicer stops during operation?

The juicer has overheat protection. If it runs continuously for more than 15 minutes, it may stop automatically to prevent overheating. Allow the unit to cool for several minutes before using it again.

Why doesn't the juicer extract celery juice well?

Celery is highly fibrous and relatively low in moisture, so juicing it by itself may produce a lower yield and put extra strain on the motor. Cut the celery into pieces about 3/4 to 1 1/4 inches (2 to 3 cm) long before feeding it into the juicer. If the yield is still low or the juicer hesitates, process the celery with water-rich produce such as cucumber, apple, or pear. This can improve the flow and flavor while reducing strain on the motor. If a jam occurs, use "REVERSE" to back the ingredients out before continuing.

Why is the juice yield low?

Juice yield depends mainly on the moisture content and texture of the ingredients. To increase the yield, combine lower-moisture or softer ingredients with water-rich produce. The recipe guide includes recommended combinations, such as pairing soft ingredients with firmer produce like apples, carrots, or pears. These combinations can produce more juice and a more balanced flavor.

Why does the juice contain more pulp or residue than expected?

1. The strainer may not be fully installed, which can reduce filtration performance.

2. The rubber plug may not be seated correctly.

Make sure the strainer and rubber plug are installed correctly, following the diagrams in the user manual.

If the strainer is cracked or deformed, contact Customer Support for a free replacement.

Why is the juicer overheating?

The juicer includes multiple safety features and normally should not overheat. If it becomes unusually hot:

1. Check whether it has been running continuously for more than 15 minutes.

2. Make sure the juicer is being used in a well-ventilated area.

3. If the overheating continues, stop using the juicer and contact Customer Support.
